Daily Recipe

Life is Good! That´s a nice recipe for mind. Even the dark sides, the less good stuff, there are always light and goodness. There are always a bad side and a good side, upwind and downwind, like black and white, like life and death. You can always find ease. Maybe death is no death; maybe death is just a new life. Like the Buddhist says; “life is eternity”. I think we in the west should celebrate the death more, like they do in the east, get to know the true meaning of life; live and die.

They prepare for death, like you prepare for any other difference in life. How do you prepare for death? Well, you never know when time is in. That is way you always be nice to yourself and every other human being; like good Karma. Good Karma helps you to be prepared. Abstain from killing, stealing, lying, no fears, no doubt, no worries. Sadhu; to live more spiritual without isolate from the outer world. Yes, good Karma supports your mind however; support to create more beauty into life, I believe. What do you believe?

Five weeks ago I left Sweden with an opened mind and an opened heart. The first step was India, Verkala, and with opened arms my boyfriend and me stepped right into a retreat with true Metta. Metta means loving kindness. In metta the heart opens unconditionally, encompassing all that is, with acceptance, awareness and good will. The word “metta” is from the Pali language of the earliest Buddhist texts. Metta is universal, finding expression in all religions and all societies. To find balance is to find real love. Love deep inside, deep in the bottom of heart. Feel love to everyone and to everything; that is also good Karma. And thanks to Anjali and Surya I really balanced in Love within my relationship and myself. I am so grateful to everyone and to everything.

Next stop was Thailand Chiang Mai “new town” and to align with a group in Anusarayoga. I adore the principles in Anusara (and also Viryayoga), to align and get balanced in the physical body as well as the mental and emotional body. Anusara is to open up to Grace with great foundation, spirals and loops. To find the Spanda; pulsation. During the Immersion one and two I also learned how to fall, to get rid of fear and fall from headstand and shoulderstand, well I still practice but I have done it. I also keep reminding myself to not cross my limits, Yoga is about feeling good. Like Iyengar says; “Yoga is health, then comes the services to people

After the Immersion one and two I went for some Buddhist Vipassana meditation in the most beautiful Tempel, Doi Suthep, I have ever seen. It is placed up in the mountain with a magnificent view over Chiang Mai. And with the five elements surrounding me I easily fell into the quietness. Well I am happy I did the Goenka tradition before in Sweden, because I found this Mahasi Saydaw tradition not that disciplined, and in meditation you really need lots of self-discipline and concentration. I remember a few years ago when I first heard about meditation, I thought it was to stop thinking. In some way it is, but it is actually about controlling the thoughts. Like a good friend told me once; “sometimes your thought is your enemy and sometimes your breath is your friend”. You will need a huge concentrated mind, to control all the senses, the mind and thoughts, getting rid of obstacles and ego. To reach meditation; Samadhi, simply a quiet awarenenss of here and nowA stomach flu had me leave one day earlier, but with smiley eyes and a deep appreciating to life in its simplicity.

Today I arrived by nightbus to Rayong beach; wow! I adore the beach, the sea, the salt and the sand. Especially when it is 35 degree in the shadow and around 25 in the water. Rayong and Mae Rumphuang Beach feels like home, and the ocean give me good healing. My daily recipe; meditation and morning yoga at beach, walking at beach, reading at beach, eating at beach, evening yoga and meditation at beach. I will take one day at a time and really enjoying mindfully, but this is my aim for the following days before returning to Chiang Mai and Anusara Immersion three. Life is good; my recipe! What is your daily recipe?

To Open Up

Sunday, December 4th, 2011

Once upon a time… there was a movie called “Kronjuvelerna”. According to this movie we have three keys. One for happiness, one for joy, one for love and the third you have to discover your self.

To open up your energy’s and get the Kundalini power to circulate through Ida, Pingala and Sushumna nadi. To get the opposite power to meet, the Shakti meets Shiva. It is not only about finding the keys, also about using them, and to open up.

Your Chakra power brings health and insight. The Tantra philosophy means that if you tissue opposite energy’s you will fully live your life. To use the Heart Chakra (Anahata) you might discover the easiest way to open up, to use unconditional love. According to “Kronjuvelerna” you need a heart of gold.

To live fully in this life by using a heart of gold and you might find a higher proposal, and you also might find the third key, the key to heaven.

Learn to live in a way to become friend with death. I believe tralalala!

Discover The Key

Monday, November 28th, 2011

According the method of Franklin, a dancer from Switzerland, you can work with inner pictures, to visualize pictures within. To get your brain to communicate with the rest of the body and you will receive better attitude, better consciousness. Better consciousness might help your insight to reach more knowledge; knowledge about understanding.

The tree upper Chakra; the throat Chakra (Visudha), the third eye Chakra (Ajna) and the crown Chakra (Sahasrara) says open up your key to understanding. Like Vedanta yoga; does self-enquiry, find Knowledge through insight. The tree upper Chakra says belongs to your soul. And when getting in touch with the insight you will reach higher spiritual levels. Levels of deep understanding about reality and the world around you. The understanding that your existence have higher senses. Directly contemplating on the center of consciousness, seeking to experientially go into the heart of the question, “Who am I”?

Find the key – get the link – everything connect.

See you on the yogamat, this week, a trip in your insight…

Everything is Connected

Monday, November 14th, 2011

Everything is sustained and connected; The Universe, the nature, the water, the air, the life and your body. Feldenkrais Method is a system designed by Moshé Feldenkrais (1904–1984). The Feldenkrais method aims to improve movement repertoire, aiming to expand and refine the use of the self through awareness, in order to reduce pain or limitations in movement, and promote general well-being. In Sweden the Feldenkrais Method is practiced within the normal healthcare system usually by physiotherapists.

To connect the physical body, you will bring the physical, emotional and the metal center together. The Chakras are connected. With the Root chakra (first) you will find safety and the grounding and the right to be here. With the Sacral chakra (second) you will find movement and pleasure and the right to feel. Through pleasure you might plant the flower of seed. The power of seed will grow and the Solarplexus Chakra (third) will glow and your right to act might get strength. Your inner fire is lighting and your mind to improve and change is connecting.

Feel safe – get pleasure – feel the stability to change – reach the connection with the lower body and hopefully the aim of your seed.

Power begins with what is. Earth, as matter, is the container, movement is the means. Our bodies are the vehicle, our emotions its fuel, making the third chakra the engine. Earth and water anchor us in reality, forming the container that allows the alchemical fire to burn bright and hot. They are crucible of transformation

The Original

Sunday, November 6th, 2011

You were born an original. Do not die a copy”
~ John Mason

Sometimes during my school year I found it difficult to be myself. Who was I? Should I be like the others or could I be the original me?

I think many people have had these thoughts, anytime during lifetime. There are no simple answers but the only way I feel is that I can be much more happier and balanced if I am satisfied with myself and become conscious of reaching the motto; be who I am. This week we will pass 11.11.11 and according to Kundaliniyoga, we close the Pisces (fiskens) turbulent era and we will get into the Aquarian Age (vattumannen). This age will become more conscious and loving time on earth. I like that thought!

Through more experience, openness and tolerance we will find more love by the motto “to be”. You are already everything you need. You are unique as a human being. Be who you are – be the original…

Never Ends

Tuesday, November 1st, 2011

All Saint’s day (Alla helgons dag) is not to mix up with All Hallows’ Eve (Halloween). We celebrate All Hallows’ Eve to get rid of bad spirits. It is a habit and has its source in Ireland and parts of Scotland, and on the way trough USA it became a tradition in Sweden around 1995. All Hallows’ Eve always celebrates on the 31 of October and children use to dress up in different evil spirits.
All Saint’s day is a Memory day to the dead and takes place between the 31th October and the 6th of November; the first Saturday in November. It is an old Christian tradition from mid eighteen century.

To memorize the dead I think it’s very important, and to analyze its simplicity. The dead people do not want us to feel pain and to sorrow. Some mean that spirits are like angels, angels who protect us and letting us feel safe. Like a guardian angel. For me it’s very beautiful to see the death as the infinite. Like the Buddhist people say “Always being, Always become”. Like life never ends.

Light a candle as a memory to the dead people; light a candle to life and to the eternity…
