Healthy & Happy

Open your fridge and pantry. You might see a lot of goodies that want to be eaten. But are you interested about how your body feel, it is really high time to get interested what your are putting in your mouth.

The human being has during a long time seen almost the same. We have elaborate slowly to better deal with challenges. We have for a long time lived on the offers by the nature. This has force our developing foreword – we have been rapider, faster and stronger.

Unfortunately it seem the developing about health has staring to point in the wrong direction. High blood lipids, high blood pressure, rising inflammation, overweight and a stringent increase of diabetes II. Diabetes II later called “diabetes by age” but the name changes although the illness is not connected to age anymore, it s connected to the lifestyle.

The lifestyle today is, among others, involved by the quantity of physical activity, our tempo and our daily routines. What we eat is of course connected to our lifestyle, and here we can see the change.

Reflect our difference 50 years ago versus today. With that in our mind we can listen to the term “Back to basics”. It might do us some good. We are not designed to eat food with lots of sucker, adding’s and preservative. But we know that fresh raw food and natural products is doing us well and it also makes a feeling of satisfaction.

My advice is to look over your eating habits and change it one step in a time, you will find a easy way to supply vitamins and minerals which is necessary to get rapider, faster and stronger – but also healthier and happier.

Yoga is Your Thought

I have known for a long time that yoga helps in the daily life, but today I got convinced. I woke up this morning, did my usual morning preparations, and then hurry of to the Big place, Zoi Tattoo in Malmö. Yes, I have planned for a long time to make new tattoos and finally I had agreed with myself about the picture. Of course I had brought fruit, raisins and some candy, proper as I am. When you expose yourself with something painful, the body answers with stress and you might need some energy and sugar. My tattoo pictures were suppose to take about three hours to create, and when I jumped up in the chair I realized and I have to admit, I was a little nervous and I could feel my heart beat. The machine started with a bzzz and then three hour after I woke up with this amazing picture, with a sense of harmony, happiness and love. What happened? My insight about yoga and everything you do can easily be made by yoga, the thought is yoga, and yoga is your thought, my breath and my mind supported me.
Sally Kempton writes in “Meditation for the love of it” that meditate and Yoga is to get a relationship to your self, she also get a nice hit about a meditation practice, focusing breathing with your breastbone and to visualize your heart and climb into it. Well I don´t know about jumping into the heart but to just let go and feel the warmth, it certainly helped me. I meditate through the painful session and Yes I did felt some pain but it make the whole thing much more simple. I can also assume the three hours got my body to love the fruit, raisins and candy even more than it use to taste. My tattoo pictures are now a truth about my love to life, my Love to Yoga. Remember yoga is your thought, breath and love to your inner self. Yoga is your thought to life…

Acceptance

It’s not uncommon in the yoga community for people to find themselves changing in ways that they may never have signed up for—and that their partner or friend isn’t interested in or feels threatened by. While we’re all well-schooled in accepting differences of opinion to make a relationship work, it seems a lot easier to work through a disagreement about what color to paint a bedroom than to come to terms with divergent spiritual beliefs. You might wonder: Can a relationship weather theese differences?
Spiritual teachers say the answer is yes—if you fully embrace the practice of acceptance. When you’re annoyed that your partner or friend isn’t interested in your latest yoga revelation, or upset that they’re heading down a spiritual path that doesn’t appeal to you, focus on accepting them as they are instead of judging them or needing their behavior to change. To do that, it helps to practice acceptance of yourself and the issues you bring to the situation and the final solution.

Tailwind

Tailwind and headwind I could receive this weekend when I have ridden my bike through Vellinge city and visit the elders, even an overturn on the slippery street, hit my knee, but after a quick look I could establish nobody saw my clumsy fall and quickly I got on my bike again, this time with extra consciousness, nice tailwind and the sun warming my face, what a “kick” the first days in the new year… see you all soon on the yogamat… please apply your interest if you want to go with the course at Harmonigården.

Contentedness

Monday after Christmas, and a nice long yoga class with my friends Torgny and Ingrid. A room filled with energy and love. No expectations, just contentedness. A quiet class and all we heard were breathing and a calm voice from Torgny. A mixed class and everyone were representative and fulfilled but at the same time so relaxed. The classes with Torgny are complete. Complete with joy and unity. Thanks to all mentioned and not mentioned for this class. I hope to see you all soon in any yogaroom, were ever you are…
